End of Season

The photo of the day comes from a roadside stop that I made in Leduc on the scenic journey home from the farm last Thanksgiving. I am very happy that I can get a narrow depth of field as I get a close shot of a plant and it leaves everything else blurry. What can I say, small things give me great pleasure. This is an effect that I can’t get with my old Kodak point and shoot. I was attracted to the fine crispness of the dried-up leaves. One leaf in particular focused well.I set the camera to aperture priority to f 5.6 Taken with my new Rebel XS.
