The view from the steps of the Legislature

Like I said in my previous post, the star on the tree is really bright and “blows up”  I increased my shutter speed a bit to compensate for the brightness and get some detail while still seeing the rest of the lights.

  1. I like this. The brights tart, the subtle other lights. Gorgeous, Jane.

    • Thanks Katie, really enjoy this tree or whatever one they put up each year-the star is new this year!

The bright star is amazing, it almost looks like its moving. I love the rest of the tree lights too.

    • It is interesting to see what happens with the addition of the star, how it dominates lightwise, but i love it, it is so beautiful and didn’t want it to just be a blur, which is what happens if the other lights are brighter. I may get back there and experiment with getting the best balance. Who knows, maybe this is it. ;),
