Fooled for a Moment

I went to the park to see how the ducks and geese are faring . Although there has been a significant decline in the population, some have been strong and managed to avoid being chased away despite various tactics by the bird police – definitely a case of survival of the fittest.

I got very excited when I drove into the park and  saw a swan in the pond, thought that maybe it was visiting from the adjacent golf course. I got out and approached slowly , taking photos with my zoom lens, as usual. It didn’t move much, just drifted in a circle….

I guess swans are enemies of geese. What next? Bring in the coyotes?

  1. I did not know swans and geese are enemies – how interesting. This shot is so serene — i love the hue of green reflected from the trees onto the lake. ~ So much love, Robyn

    • I do find the reflections so interesting here, especially with the change of the light at various times of day and the change of the seasons. There is always something new.

    • especially since the swan is not real, but yes the reflections are beautiful, not messed up with the fluff from the trees.
