Sun Shines Again after Hail

We had quite the hail storm the other night. At first the hail was pea size then grew into the size that you can see here. I was excited and  nervous as the wind and hail picked up,  especially in a house with skylights The  dogs started shaking a while before the rain started and one hid in the corner of the bathroom- it took some time for them to calm down. I am not on my own computer so find it quite the challenge to work with an editing program that I am not used to but at least I gave it a try.

  1. Holy smokes! We’ve had crazy stormy weather here too…but no hail. Yet. I hope it didn’t cause any damage.

    • I might have a few more dints in the car but no worries .Luckily it didn’t last long. I was amazed how well the garden plants fared, at least I won’t have too much dead-heading to do on the petunias.. We have a lot of hail in patches this summer and floods from heavy downpours.Hopefully no tornadoes.

  2. This is pretty awe sine to see Jane … how often does hail happen this time of year – summer in Canada? You got some great shots – love the last one with the steps… feel the contrast there between fresh flowers and icy hail! x RL

    • July is the time for severe thunderstorms, even tornadoes on the prairies when a warm mass hits a cold front-or is it the other way around? Thanks for your comments re preferences..Sigh…it is a rainy day today-oh well, I will just appreciate the sun even more when it is shining again. 🙂
