Frost Warning
Yes we went from a record high of 30 degrees to plus one. There was a definite chill in the air when the temperature dropped. Many were back in their jackets and long pants after shorts and t-shirts two days earlier.Today it is warmer again but it is a good warning for what lies ahead. Happy autumn to all, except for those of you who live in the southern hemisphere, where it is spring.
Indeed, all of the signs of fall and then winter are definitely with us. The hummingbirds are gone and the maple leaves are beginning to turn. I am starting to think about protecting perennials.

Protecting perennials is a good idea, a lot of people covered theirs here.

Jane, I so love this photo! Yes, these wild cranberries will be frozen soon. The tree will produce more next year. It attaches no emotion to its offspring, Perhaps some hungry birds will feast on these in the dead of winter. Life goes on!
