A Walk in the Woods

I was standing with a couple of other photographers when one of them spotted this fellow out for a walk, heading to the feeder for a meal. I always enjoy seeing a ring-necked pheasant in the wild even if I don’t end up with a great shot. Both were hand held and shot in manual mode with some cropping and lightening after ward.

It didn’t take long before he left the open path and safely disappeared into the thick under brush.

Good day, anything outdoors that wild is neat. Seen you at the meeting but I had to run Chuck talked me out of the house and I’m not sure if it was a good idea. Good meeting. Take care my friend

    • They release dozens in the golf course next door and of course they wander. I wonder how many have survived so far? i did lighten these in Lightroom using fill light but happy with the result. Thank you for your comment, Donna.

  3. Nice captures! Although there are ring-necked pheasants where I live, I hardly ever see them.

  4. Seen them 3-4 times since the spring-always a joy to spot them.
