Mallards, Buffleheads, Blue-Winged Teals, Lesser Scaups

 

 

I like how nature gives  the females less colour so they can nest more safely. Here is a female Mallard in a swampy pool of water and even the male is somewhat disguised at times by a thin layer of algae.
