Rusty Blues

This is from the camera club outing a few weeks back. I liked this HDR shot when I took it, then decided to do some editing after someone in the club made suggestions.  First I heightened the saturation, cloned out the grasses, cropped closer to the objects (the tail light  and gas cap and rust spot) and heightened the saturation of the tail light. And this is the result. I like the triangle formed by the alignment of the subjects/objects,  the sharpening which brings out the texture of the rust,  the complimentary colours and hopefully I will slow down in the field and fine tune what I see in the first place. It is all about living and learning and knowing what to add and what to let go of. I love Images Alberta Camera Club because people are willing to learn and critique so there is a wealth of learning here, not to mention a lot of talent.
